Pharmacy
Whether you’re a patient in the hospital or you just have a question about a medication, the O’Connor Hospital Pharmacy Staff can help.
Staff members welcome questions about medications and strive to provide professional, individualized service.
The Pharmacy is located at the East End of the hospital on the first floor. It encompasses three distinct and unique services: the Inpatient pharmacy, the Outpatient pharmacy and Tri-Town Regional Hospital pharmacy. Staff members include Outpatient Pharmacy Manager Teare Korbul, RPh, Inpatient Pharmacy Manager Erin Kingsbury, RPh and Staff Pharmacist Robert Abarno, RPh. The technicians include Sherry Aitken, Ruth Martanis, Patty Rall, Tara Thomson and Kathy Fulton, CPhT.
The Outpatient pharmacy in a typical month dispenses about 3,500 prescriptions. The outpatient pharmacy fills prescriptions from any licensed physician in the United States, not just physicians within the Bassett Healthcare system, and it participates in most insurance plans. A small selection of commonly used over-the-counter medications is also available.
The Inpatient pharmacy staff dispenses between 2,000 – 3,000 dosage units to hospital and surgical patients each month. It is also responsible for making sure the right medicine is available to physicians in various departments, whenever they might need it. This includes maintaining supplies in the Emergency and Trauma Services department, Medical and Surgical Units, Ambulatory Clinic, OR and Radiology as well as providing narcotic boxes to visiting Bassett Healthcare anesthesiologists.
Pharmacy Hours:
Outpatient Pharmacy is open from 8:00am – 5:30pm weekdays.
Saturday Hours: 8:00am – 2:00pm
